In April 2025, in the context of the current Federal administration’s cancellation of numerous grants in the arts, sciences, and humanities, the National Endowment for the Humanities terminated a grant supporting this project. The loss of this grant eliminates financial support for this project and will directly impact the faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, and our partners at Roxbury Community College (RCC).  The termination has been appealed, and we are awaiting a decision; in the meantime we continue to seek additional funding sources.
